THIS IS MY STORY AND I'M GLAD TO SHARE IT WITH THE BEST TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS I'VE EVER SEEN
I will start by saying that as a child, I had very little opportunity for dental care. In the late '60s to '70s, in my home, if you needed a filling, you received an extraction due to the cost.
As I became older, I wanted my teeth to be beautiful and my smile to be like many of my friends. I sought dental care and paid a large sum of money for subpar care. It was almost like no one knew what to do to fix it, so they patched it.
A bridge here and a bridge there until I had a decent smile.
That is until now.
One year ago a fellow nurse friend of mine told me about this practice. Reluctant to go to any dentist at that time I went anyway. Ashamed, embarrassed, and a multitude of emotions flooded me because I was scared of being judged for the condition of my teeth/gums. I wish I had known then what I do now. Little did I know but I had just walked into a dental office that knew what to do, when to do it, and how to make you feel comfortable without judgment. I was amazed at the entire team and their support.
My journey started with cleaning, consultations, X-rays more consultations until we had a solid plan for implants for my upper teeth. Dr. Michaels and his team worked tirelessly to help me achieve a smile that I had desired for years. Teeth extractions, bone grafting, and fine-tuned measurements were completed with state-of-the-art equipment.
Excitement began to feel me as I was healing and seeing the progress that was being made. I have gone to my appointments thinking ok maybe today is the day. Dr. Michaels would say No not today. That may sound frustrating to some but I say coming from a consumer/patient who had subpar care it was the sound of music to me. You see what he (Dr. Michaels) was saying was "It's not the right time for the whole process to be a success and I'm a caring doctor who wants it correct so not today". Honestly, Dr. Michaels is a very meticulous doctor, the care he and his staff provide is a well-planned and calculated process that obtains the precise perfect smile you come in looking for.
In summary, I could not be happier with the care that I received in this office. I will never forget the day that I obtained the final product. I cried and Dr. Michaels just smiled. I felt like a million bucks sitting there. It was Dr. Michael's birthday. Ha, lucky me I was able to get the best smile ever for his birthday. Happy smile day to me.
I love you all and our journey has just begun. I have all of my bottom teeth to go and I am not even SCARED. Why be scared? I have SIMPLY THE BEST, BETTER THAN ALL THE REST, BETTER ANYONE, Anyone I've ever met.
I met with Dr Michaels yesterday. He is willing to stand by his work and shows genuine care and love for his patients. As always the staff are amazing. Bailey cleaned my teeth like I've NEVER had them cleaned. Excellent hygienist
