This year, Michels and Gauquie Cosmetic and Family Dentistry will be hosting our first annual Halloween Candy Buyback program! This program is another great way to fight tooth decay by giving away dollars and toothbrushes in exchange for your cavity-provoking candy.
We will collect candy at our office on Monday, November 2nd and Tuesday, November 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound, up to ten (10) pounds, for all unopened candy.
All donated candy (and a generous supply of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss) will be donated to the Operation Gratitude organization. They ship care packages to our men and women in the military all over the world.
In addition, we will provide writing utensils and paper so that everyone can create a special note or drawing to be sent to a military member! If you’d like, you may even include your name and address (with adult guidance), so that one of those military recipients can have the chance to send a note in return. Letter-writing recommendations can be found here.
Please only bring unopened, individually wrapped candy, and do not purchase new bags of candy to donate. Instead of buying new candy, consider donating that money directly to Operation Gratitude or another worthy cause (we can help facilitate donations as desired).More information about Operation Gratitude can be found on their website.
If you have questions for us, please feel free to call or email.
